Training People to Train - Making your Training Dynamic & Memorable

 

If training is going to make a positive difference to the way people work, it needs to be clear, relevant and memorable - for the right reasons.  So, how can you make your training appealing and interesting?  However you be sure that what happens in the training room will actually help people once they are back at their desks?

 

Aims

 

At Canning we take a pragmatic approach to training:  we believe it should be active, structured and adapted to the group but also fun.  On our Making your Training Dynamic and Memorable courses we help you to design and deliver training that is tailored, interesting and lively as well as clear and informative.     

 

Content

 

As with all our courses, we agree the content with the client and participants in advance.  However, typically our Making your Training Dynamic and Memorable courses cover:

 

  • Finding out what the participants need
  • Designing courses that meet those needs and objectives
  • Giving and receiving feedback
  • Making your training sessions active and dynamic
  • Handling groups and dealing with 'tricky' people
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of your training

 

Methods

 

Our own training is active, practical and tailored.  You can expect to run practice training sessions, based on the material and exercises that you usually use.  You will also have a chance to try out new approaches to training.   You will be in a group of a maximum of six people and will get feedback from an experienced trainer.  Courses typically last between two and four days.
